Hey! I’m Jacob. I make stuff that goes on the internet.

I spend business hours as a Web Developer for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I’m making tools (largely with Ruby on Rails) that make our workflows easier and more efficient. I was also responsible for the department website’s shift from static HTML to Drupal and am involved with ongoing improvements.

After a day’s work I bus or bike home to resume my important dad-ly duties.

If and when the opportunity presents itself I’m big into table-top and video gaming. Over winters I play hockey with the Madison Gay Hockey Association.

Learning stuff is a professional necessity and a personal hobby which has led to an obnoxiously long list of other side interests, omitted here but always lurking.
